Outdoor Chairs, what to look for…

So It all started with my deck, I wanted to have some chairs out there and started looking at the options. I looked at pallet furniture, but decided against furniture that needed cushions due to moisture and mould.

I settled on a modern Adirondack chair because they are comfortable seats that don’t need cushions.

I tried buying some cheaper chairs (around $200) and they were really flimsy and badly made (to the point of being dangerous) and took ages to assemble.

Our chairs require no assembly and we can deliver direct to your outdoor area.

no need for this … we make sure your new chair is built properly

Added to this issue is the problem of moisture, If the screws that hold the chair together are not filled and sealed with paint or oil, the moisture seeps into the joints  and the timber will rot around the screws, hardwood less so than pine, but if the chair is completely sealed with a good quality coat of paint or oil this will not happen.

Example of moisture leading to fungal attack and wood rotting

Our chairs are glued and screwed with stainless steel fixing then prime painted plus two coats of exterior grade acrylic paint in white or a colour of your choice.

Bought online, they would not take it back

Even when I did find a lighter chair i did like the build of (aluminium for example) I found that it is difficult to completely relax in a chair that is not completely solid. with drinks and books resting on the arms of the chair it is great to be able to move around without the whole chair moving with you

A completely rigid chair allows you to completely relax…

In the end after considering all of this, I made my own chairs and after a couple of prototypes I have what I sell today, A really solid outdoor chair that will not fall apart and will last for years outdoors

An outdoor chair that ticks all the boxes

I have found that if you pay just a little bit more you often get much better quality.
